4:00 p.m. - On the corner of Willow Springs Drive and Dewey Drive
Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 4:00 pm.
Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: Open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Supervisor Dave Zdroik and two representatives of American Asphalt were present. 0 Town Residents\Visitors.
Meet with Representatives of American Asphalt to review road work done on Dewey Drive between Willow Springs Drive and Torun Road: Discussion on the issues that needed to be resolved took place. The representatives of American Asphalt agreed to replace several bad areas of blacktop, realign the east end to straighten out the blacktopped surface, put an overlay of approximately one inch over the entire road surface and, to re-shoulder the road as necessary. The Town Board agreed that these solutions should resolve the issues with the project.
5:15 p.m. – On North Reserve Drive – south end at town line
The meeting reconvened on North Reserve Drive at 5:15 p.m.
Meet with Representative of A-1 Services to review road work done on North Reserve Drive between Dewey Drive and the south town line: The Town Board members listed above met with a representative of A-1 Services to review the chip-seal work done on the road. The board members pointed out numerous issues with the work that was done last year. The Town Board expressed their desire to have the entire road redone to fix the issues with that work that was done. The representative said that he would take our concerns and desire to have the road redone back to his supervisor (company owner) and would then get back to Town Chairperson, Maurice King, with their response. The Board also went to view Maple Drive between County Road X and Sunset Drive which was done last year by Fahrner Asphalt Sealers to compare the work done there with the work done on North Reserve Drive as the two roads had very similar surface conditions prior to being chip-sealed.
The Town Board then returned to the town hall.
6:30 p.m. - Dewey Town Hall
The meeting reconvened at the Town Hall at 6:30 pm. Clerk Angie Lochinger and Treasurer Josie Napiwocki joined the meeting at 6:30 pm at the Dewey Town Hall.
Discussion/Action on fee for transferring data for the dog licensing program: Treasurer Napiwocki explained that the County is implementing a new pet licensing program. Anyone wishing to have their current dog license data migrated into the new system will need to pay an $800 fee.
Chairman King motioned to give the clerk, treasurer and chairman the opportunity to see if we can find a different resolution, if not then pay the $800 fee. Supervisor Zdroik seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Correspondence: The Board reviewed correspondence.
Set Meeting Dates & Agendas: The next Town Board Meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 2:30 pm – Road Inspection. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 2:30 pm – Road Inspection. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 6:30 pm and Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 6:30 pm at the Dewey Town Hall.
Additionally, Open Book will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Board of Review will be held on Monday, June 4th 2018 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Dewey Town Hall.
Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 7:20 pm.
