Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:30 pm, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: Open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Supervisor Dave Zdroik, Clerk Angie Lochinger and Treasurer Josie Napiwocki were present. 4 Town Residents\Visitors.

Approval of June 6, 2018 Minutes: Supervisor Zdroik motioned to approve the June 6, 2018 Minutes as presented. Supervisor Meis seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Citizens wishing to Address the Town Board: None

Representatives from Amherst Telephone will be present to provide an update on the
broadband grant application process and current work being done: Representatives from Amherst Telephone Company reported they are currently working their way up Sunset Drive. They also stated they are seeking letters of support as an important part of the grant application process.

Bids for chip seal and/or scrub seal of town roads: The board received bids from Scott Construction and Fahrner Asphalt Sealers for chip sealing and/or scrub sealing of town roads (Sunset Drive, Maple Drive, Campsite Drive, Birch Drive, Chippewa Trail, Wood Lane and Dubay Drive).

Supervisor Meis motioned to award Fahrner Asphalt Sealer’s the bid to scrub seal Campsite Drive, Birch Drive and Dubay Drive for $68,468 and to award Fahrner Asphalt Sealer’s the bid to chip seal Sunset Drive, Maple Drive, Chippewa Trail and Wood Lane for $43,658 with the understanding that sweeping will be done at no additional cost. Supervisor Zdroik seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Application to borrow money from the BCPL State Trust Fund for the
purchase of the one ton pickup truck with dump box: Supervisor Zdroik motioned to make application to borrow $46,201.00 from the BCPL State Trust Fund for the
purchase of the one ton pickup truck with dump box. Supervisor Meis seconded. Motion passed 3-0.




Resolution to borrow from the Trust Funds of the State of
Wisconsin the sum of $46,201.00 for financing truck with dump box and to levy upon
all taxable property within the Town of Dewey a direct annual tax for the purpose of
paying interest and principal on the load as they become due: The board explained this doesn’t increase the tax levy. This money will come out of the existing tax levy.

Supervisor Zdroik motioned to borrow from the Trust Funds of the State of
Wisconsin the sum of $46,201.00 for financing truck with dump box and to levy upon
all taxable property within the Town of Dewey a direct annual tax for the purpose of
paying interest and principal on the load as they become due. Supervisor Meis seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Liquor, cigarette and operator licenses: Supervisor Meis motioned to approve all liquor and operator licenses as presented. Supervisor Zdroik seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Picnic license for Saint Mary’s Church: Supervisor Zdroik motioned to approve the Temporary Class B Retail License for the sale of Wine and the Temporary Class B Retail License for the sale of fermented malt beverages for St. Mary’s Church Picnic. Supervisor Meis seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Fee/cost for transferring data for the dog licensing program: Supervisor Meis motioned not to pay the migration fee for the dog licensing program. Supervisor Zdroik seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Letter to the owners of Crocker’s Landing Mobile Home Park regarding the paying of the correct assessed fee as set by the Assessor: Treasurer Napiwocki explained that when a resident moves out of a mobile home but that home is still on a mobile home lot, that property is still assessed and the mobile home park needs to pay the assessed fee.

Supervisor Zdroik motioned to send a letter to Crockers Landing requesting they follow state statutes regarding payments on mobile home parks. Supervisor Meis seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Sale on the old one ton pickup truck: Supervisor Meis motioned to put the old one ton pickup truck for sale after the new one arrives. Supervisor Zdroik seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Repairs/painting of the town garage roof: The board discussed the need for repairs and/or painting of the town garage roof. They will look into getting some estimates on what this would cost.


Purchase of a small refrigerator for town/election workers: Supervisor Zdroik motioned to purchase of a small refrigerator for town/election workers. Supervisor Meis seconded. Motion passed 3-0

Correspondence: The Board reviewed correspondence.

Chairperson Report on town work and activities: Chairman King reported the town workers have repaired the mower, fixed the step on the Sterling, done some crack sealing, repaired washouts after the recent storms, completed road reflectivity sign check, got started on shoulder grading, park clean up, replaced signs, replaced some barricades and patched blacktop.

Treasurer/Clerk Reports for May: Treasurer Josie Napiwocki read the May Treasurer’s report, and May’s reports were reviewed and balanced.

Supervisor Meis motioned to accept the Treasurer and Clerk reports as presented. Supervisor Zdroik seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Set Meeting Dates & Agendas: The next Town Board Meeting is scheduled for, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 6:30 pm at the Dewey Town Hall.

Approve and Pay Bills: Supervisor Meis motioned to approve and pay the bills. Supervisor Zdroik seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting 8:52 pm
