TOWN BOARD MEETING

Maurice King called the meeting to order at 7:00pm
Agenda Items
Minutes - William Kolodziej read the minutes from the June 17th meeting. Gary Kolodziej motioned to approve the minutes. Dennis Meis 2nd the motion. Motion carried 3-0
Citizens wishing to address the Town Board – none
CSM Map – The Ed Jablonski survey on County Road DB was presented to the board and was approved and signed by the Maurice King, Chairperson and William D. Kolodziej, Clerk.
Operator Licenses – Dennis Meis moved to approve the Operator Licenses as presented . Gary Kolodziej 2nd the motion. Motion passed. 3-0
Picnic Licenses – Gary Kolodziej moved to approve the Picnic License for Saint Mary Church. Dennis Meis 2nd the motion. Motion passed. 3-0
Chapter 11, Volunteer Fire Department Ordinance – The Board and the fire chief discussed the possibility of allowing 17 year old persons to train to become a firefighters. Maurice King will look into legal questions.
Ordinance No. 2009-2 – Dennis Meis moved to approve Ordinance No. 2009-2 an ordinance to adopt Chapter 16, the ordinance to create “Slow-no-Wake” areas on Lake DuBay. Gary Kolodziej 2nd the motion. Motion passed 3-0
Ordinance No. 2009-1 – Gary Kolodziej moved to approve Ordinance No. 2009-1 an ordinance to adopt Chapter 14, the Comprehensive Plan of the Town of Dewey, Portage County, Wisconsin. Dennis Meis 2nd the motion. Motion passed 3-0
Resolution No. 6-2009 – Dennis Meis moved to approve Resolution No. 6, a resolution to approve and forward the proposed updated Zoning Map to the Portage County Board. Gary Kolodziej 2nd the motion. Motion passed 3-0
Scenic Drive just north of Pinewood Drive – Gary Kolodziej moved to repair the portion of Scenic Drive just north of Pinewood Drive. Dennis Meis 2nd the motion. Motion passed 3-0
Portage County Ground Water Advisory Group – Maurice King moved to appoint Dennis Meis to the Portage County Ground Water Advisory Group and Kathy Girolamo as an alternative member. Gary Kolodziej 2nd the motion. Motion passed 2-0, Dennis Meis abstained.
Correspondence was reviewed.
Maurice King gave a brief report on Town activities. Cutting shoulders, patching blacktop, finish grading and ordered dust buster.
Treasurers and Clerks reports for June were reviewed and balanced.
Bills were approved and paid

Adjournment – Dennis Meis motioned to adjourn at 8:40pm. Gary Kolodziej 2nd the motion. Motion carried 3-0. Meeting adjourned.
