Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:30 pm, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: Open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Supervisor Dennis Hintz and Clerk Angie Lochinger were present. Treasurer Josie Napiwocki was absent. 3 Town Residents\Visitors.

Approval of Minutes from the meeting of November 17, 2021: Supervisor Hintz motioned to approve the November 17, 2021 Minutes as presented. Supervisor Meis seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Citizens wishing to address the Town Board: None.

Supervisor Comments/Concerns: Supervisor Hintz stated he got a call from a resident on a Bay View Drive cul-de-sac, who reported his road was not snow plowed well.

Supervisor Meis suggested the town employees could have started scraping the roads later and also inquired about their vacation hours. He also notified chief Pukrop and the town board that with the expected storm coming, he has all four of his chain saws sharpened and ready to go if needed.

Appointment to the Town Plan Commission for a three-year term: Chairman King explained that two of the three-year Plan Commission terms expire December 31, 2021. Kathy Girolamo has agreed to stay on another term. There is still one position open.

Supervisor Meis motioned to appoint Kathy Girolamo to another three-year term, through December 31, 2024. Supervisor Hintz seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Appointment of Poll Workers for a two-year term: The board reviewed a list of election inspectors provided by clerk Lochinger.

Supervisor Meis motioned to approve the appointment of the poll workers as presented for the 2022 – 2023 term. Supervisor Hintz seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Appointment of a new Fire Chief: Chief Pukrop will be retiring as fire chief at the end of February. The board discussed appointing a new fire chief and requirements for the position.

Tractor repairs: Supervisor Hintz has been talking with Joe Tryba regarding repairing the town’s John Deere. He suggested we order parts, which could take some time to get. The board suggested Supervisor Hintz contact Mr. Tryba and see what he thinks a worst case scenario would be for parts.

Treasurer/Clerk Reports for October: The board reviewed the October Treasurer and Clerk reports, and October’s reports balanced.

Supervisor Meis motioned to accept the Treasurer and Clerk reports as presented. Supervisor Hintz seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Treasurer/Clerk Reports for November: The board reviewed the November Treasurer and Clerk reports, and November’s reports balanced.

Supervisor Meis motioned to accept the Treasurer and Clerk reports as presented. Supervisor Hintz seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Correspondence: The board reviewed correspondence.

Chairperson’s Report on town work and activities: Chairman King stated that Junction City reached out to inquire if Dewey FD would be interested in covering service for them. He also reported that he, chief Pukrop and clerk Lochinger met with the town’s insurance agent to discuss portable equipment coverage for the fire and EMS departments. The town employees have been plowing. The Peterbilt had repairs done and the a special thank you to chief Pukrop for filling in for town employee Dave Larson while he was off with a work injury.

Set Meeting Dates & Agendas: The next Town Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 6:30 pm at the Dewey Town Hall.

Approve and Pay Bills: Supervisor Hintz motioned to approve and pay the bills. Supervisor Meis seconded. Motion passed 3-0.

Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 7:51 pm.
